When I started painting this, a windstorm blew in.  I remember lawn chairs flying around outside, and we had to quickly go around the house and secure plants and objects.  I don’t remember being aware of that storm influencing my artwork at the time, but in hindsight, the shape of this painting looks like a windstorm, or some intense force of nature.

A friend suggested that it appears as if a storm is engulfing Titan: Saturn’s largest moon.Titan appears green in the photographs taken by NASA’s Cassini spacecraft.Coincidentally, the European Space Agency reported on September 24, 2018 that Cassini had spotted dust storms on Titan for the first time.
